Fundamentals of Interior Design & Commercial Design Instructor
Ashley has always had a passion for art and design. As a child, she would constantly redecorate her room and build her own model homes, using Plaster of Paris, materials from her yard and even the shingles off of her parent’s roof! She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from High Point University in North Carolina, the original home of textile and furniture manufacturing. While in school, Ashley worked for an east-coast based residential furniture company diving into the retail sales side of interior design. Upon graduation, she helped begin and grow the company’s in-home design program where she eventually made her way to Charlotte, NC to lead the store in top sales.
She moved to Chicago to expand her career by entering the commercial world of design and began a career as an account and project manager in commercial office space, furnishing offices all over the US and Canada. During the pandemic Ashley needed a drastic change and really missed being creative. She picked up and moved to Denver, for her love of the outdoors and travel opportunity. Ashley was introduced to a Denver staging company where she became a senior designer; staging homes going on the market throughout Denver, Boulder and Vail, to increase their potential within the real estate market.
Maximizing on her creativity, Ashley is bringing together her passions for residential design, home styling and travel, by starting her own interior design business for vacation rental properties! Ashley is so excited to be a part of the Heritage team, as she can share her passions for interior design to students who are chasing their dreams in interior design. With a wide range of experience, she is ready to open the world of possibilities to Heritage students!
