Nima was born in Italy, raised in Iran, and has been living in the United States since 2010. He is a nationally board-certified architect and holds licenses in both Texas and Virginia.
His academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering in Iran, followed by earning his Master of Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington. In addition, he is a graduate of the AIA Dallas Emerging Leaders program (Class of 2020) and was honored as a Building Design + Construction magazine’s "40 Under 40" recipient in 2024.
Nima has been involved in the world of architecture since he was 17, when he began assisting his uncle (an architect himself) with drawings and physical models in his office. Since then, he's had the opportunity to work on a wide range of building types including residential, commercial, healthcare, hospitality, higher education, and mission-critical. Nima is currently a Director of Architecture at Gray, a Kentucky-based firm where he specializes in large-scale industrial projects, particularly data centers. Outside of that, he runs his own firm POINT5a, where he focuses on smaller-scale projects, such as residential and small commercial buildings.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Nima is deeply committed to education and community engagement. He is thrilled to join the HSID Dallas team as a SketchUp instructor and continue contributing to the field of architecture through both practice and education!
